  • Last year, legendary singer/songwriter Leonard Cohen passed away at the age of 82. Today, his son Adam shares a posthumous video for the track “Traveling Light” using previously unseen footage of his father. The video was co-directed with Sammy Slabbinck, who also worked on Cohen’s final album You Want It Darker. Watch the heartfelt video below, which starts with a seemingly-fragile Leonard saying, “I feel a lot stronger, but I’m actually a lot weaker. I wake up in my bed and I feel like, ‘That’s how I used to feel.’ Not exactly but, you know. And then I swing my legs off the bed and I try to stand up!” [ Under the Radar ]

  • For her latest music video, Thao Nguyen lives the dream: dancing wildly in an abandoned (and possibly haunted?) grocery store. (Well, it’s my dream anyway.) Watch the video for “Meticulous Bird” below, one of the funkiest tracks off last year’s Thao & the Get Down Stay Down album A Man Alive. In an interview with NPR, Nguyen explains, “Director Jonny Look gave me the opportunity to present the song in all its facets: the darkness, the dark humor, the unfettered anger and the complexities of moving on from violation and how the memory of trespass rises to the fore and then recedes into the every day.” [ Stereogum ]

  • Not only was the Upstream Music Fest + Summit lineup announced this morning (see the first wave here), but the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival has announced their 2017 lineup, which includes Fleet Foxes, Billy Bragg, and Arab Strap, among many others. See the complete lineup here. Iceland Airwaves Music Festival goes down November 1st through 5th in venues throughout downtown Reykjavík. [ Spin ]
  • We’ve written before about the great music featured on Fox TV show Bob’s Burgers (see here, here, here, here). Now in its seventh season, the animated series has worked with The National, St. Vincent, Sleater-Kinney, and more. Sub Pop Records is collecting all those performances, as well as cast songs and new material, for The Bob’s Burgers Music Album, out May 12th. Watch Teddy unveil the box set below: [ Pitchfork ]
